What an interesting idea -- and thought it was going to be like all the other bars that make claims about performance...then I tried it! WOW, it really works. It really makes you warm, keeps your toes and fingers going in the coldest of weather. I am impressed with Thermal Bar and would recommend it to anyone who spends time outdoors in the cold.

I climbed the diagonal route on Wallface Mountain this past weekend. My partner and I ended up drinking all of our water and eating through all of our food resorts by the 6th pitch, 7 hours of climbing in the hot sun on an 845 foot tall route we began to feel the effects of dehydration and lack of nutrition. After another 3 hours of ropes getting stuck and tangled in the moon-lit rappels we finally arrived back at the base of Wallface; tired and worn out we remembered we still had a 1.7 mile hike back to the lean to, we hadn't planned on staying at the lean to that night so neither of us packed food for dinner. It was then that I remembered i had packed Bob's ThermalBar, i scrummaged through my pack and grabbed the bar, it couldn't have been more satisfying. My energy levels soon shot pack up and gave me not only the energy to make it back to the lean to without stopping but also the added warmth allowed me to make the hike back in a t-shirt and pants in 45 degree weather.

ThermalBar gave me enough vital calories and nutrients to make it back to camp and have a decent nights sleep. I would recommend it to anyone who climbs, and tends to pack on the light side. Definitely will be bringing more of these bars on my adventures.
